Each year, the SSCA holds specialty conformation shows (i.e. specifically for Shelties), typically in February or March over a weekend. The same Shelties are generally entered in both the Saturday and Sunday shows, with different judges on each day. Shows are held at a venue within the Austin/Cedar Park/Round Rock area. We bring in Shelties from all over Texas and often beyond!

For general information about AKC conformation shows – how they work, what to expect, etc, check out the links available on our conformation showing page.

The public is always welcome to attend any of our shows. Bring your own chair, come on in and have a seat by the show ring! Shows usually start mid-morning and typically last into the mid-afternoon, with a break for lunch.

We do ask that you consider the following to avoid distracting the Shelties while they are in the show ring:

  • Children are welcome, but please avoid bringing a child who may be unable to remain quiet while Shelties are being shown.
  • There is often limited seating available near the ring, so consider bringing your own chair(s).
  • If you’d like to take pictures or video (for personal use), that is generally fine, but please avoid using flash or video lights, as it can distract the Shelties.
  • Please avoid sitting in an area which may block the entrance to the show ring.

For information on the show location, date, and other details, please refer to the premium list for the show you would like to attend. Premium lists for current and past shows are available through the links below.
